Open Art Lund is a jury-judged salon that is being held in Lund for the first time.
The exhibition is spread across several galleries and offers a curated experience of contemporary art, where both established and emerging artists show works that are available for public viewing and sale.
We are looking for you who are a professional artist, attending artistic education or an amateur, residing and working in Sweden, Denmark or Sápmi.

Open Art Lund is an art event where three established art galleries will hold a large joint exhibition at several locations in Lund during the period 28 February – 28 March 2026. In connection with the exhibition at the galleries, a number of debates, lectures and art walks will be arranged during the period. The salon is intended to return annually.

You can apply if you are a professional artist or art student,
residing in Sweden or within Sápmi (including the Norwegian, Finnish and Russian parts), and was born in 2007 or earlier.
Applications can be made individually or as a group.

The registration fee is 200 SEK for 4 works of art.
When you fill out the Application, there are instructions on payment. Write the booking reference in the application form via this link.

No later than Sunday, December 14, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. In order for the registration to be accepted, the fee must also be paid.
You attach a PDF with images of the works you are looking for including dimensions (including any frame). Description of the works, dimensions, materials, and other important information. See instructions under the heading “Application”.
You can apply with a maximum of 4 entries. The works you are accepted with are the ones that will be shown in the exhibition. The jury makes the final choice for how the works will be shown in the exhibition. You as
The artist is responsible for ensuring that you have copyright for the content of your images and consent from participating models.
The jury’s decision will be sent out by email in week 4. Those who have been accepted will then receive further information about the submission of accepted works, sales procedures, etc. Submission of accepted works will take place in week 6.
The participant is responsible for the packing and transport of their work(s), as well as any transport insurance, and for the return transport after the exhibition has ended.

All works must be for sale. Information about price and quantity for sale (if the work is sold in an edition) is binding and cannot be changed afterwards. The price must include everything that the buyer sees (i.e. including frame and the like) as well as Open Art Lund's commission of 30 percent. The price you state must be reasonable from an insurance and market point of view.
The artist is personally responsible for the insurance of their works during the exhibition period.
By accepting the rules and submitting your application, you give Open Art Lund permission to publish the image(s) of your work(s) without compensation in printed materials and other communication channels. This also means that you agree that the image of your work may be offered to the press for free publication in connection with media coverage. Furthermore, you agree that TV segments may be made from the exhibition and shown without compensation. No MU (Artists’ Union) remuneration will be paid.
